This is my hometown Schnucks and it fulfills my needs easily. Being only a half a mile away, it is so easy to run in and out for items. I'll be honest, I am notorious for shopping without a list, so I do at times make frequent stops/shops. Once during the holidays, I went three times within a couple hours. The monitor at self checkout, was laughing with me and asking what I forgot. I love the butcher case and the Butcher Specials and Orange Dot sales do help me stay within a grocery budget. When I shop the deli/prepared foods counter, I have found that the young employees do a much better job than the more mature ones. Their slicing and filling of containers is so much better. While you are shopping, I highly recommend that you check out the pastry rack kept near the milk coolers. You will always find a deeply discounted sweet treat or loaf of bread. Depending on the number of items I have in my cart, determines if I use the self checkout or use a cashier. When using the cashier line, I do like the new automated system telling you when and which cashier to proceed to. It does make the lines move smoothly. If you have 10 or fewer items, you can use the self checkout. Sometimes the cashier checking out your items, may have an attitude (LOL). Checking yourself out, does expedite things, but if the POS jams up or you have to stop and show an ID, that does take time waiting for the monitor to come help. I like my hometown, Schnucks. For me it is like going to Cheers, everyone knows my name. At least a few of the cashiers, do.
I enjoy going to this Schnucks always clean and a good selection across all products. Thanks to their management team and workers for keeping the carts clean a priority. Nice place to shop!
Been coming to this Schnucks for a few years now.. Always a good experience. The store is always clean and the workers always friendly. They have a great selection; it may not always be the absolute lowest price in town, but its normally not far off. Their bakery is GREAT. I love the Asiago cheese bagels from Panera Bread Co... But the Asiago bagels from here are pretty darn good as well. They have a ton of flavors I look forward to trying as I am in town. We also had a couple donuts while I was in town and they were pretty good as well. No complaints here, I'll be back!
